Nothing makes a guy feel better than a fresh haircut. Rosey’s in the Marble Hill Section of the Bronx and a shop that I’ve been going to since I could walk. Old School feel and great barbers. Self Photography

I feel a lot of photographers are camera shy. They have a great eye for photography and what makes a great picture, but a lot of us can’t get comfortable in front of a camera to save our lives. I’m a perfect example. Here is a rare snapshot of myself. Maybe I should start some type of 30 day challenge to get used to this side of the camera.

Snow Day in New York

After Halloween the clocks fall back an hour and it is also that time of year when the temperature starts to drop a bit. This year and probably in the next few upcoming years, thanks to Global Warming, the temperature will start taking a nose dive. Thanks to Hurricane Sandy hitting the North East of America and yesterday a Nor’easter touching down, it was around the low 30s in New York. Nothing you can do but dress warm and strap up your boots.

Election Day Guacamole

Today during the election day results, I decided to fix myself and my family a bowl of guacamole while we watch the results of the Presidential election. Who ever wins or loses we’ll have me some good guacamole. Not the most American meal, but the most satisfying on this day. Go out and vote if you haven’t!

Dumbo Arts Festival

I lived in NYC my entire life and feel I’m well versed in the ins and out of the city. Or so I thought. This past week I received a Facebook invite from one of my friends to check out her art installation in Brooklyn (I have no pics of this though…) . The show case was part of The Dumbo Arts Festival. Something I never heard of but is a big festival in NYC. The Arts Festival ending up being a blast, so many people showcasing their work, great food, great view of NYC’s skyline and most importantly a insane light show to cap the night off. I’ll be back next year and probably the year after that.
